Rain, rain, rain, you're coming again
In our tropical land full of gem
Giving delights to nature's greens
But your turbulence might
Bring havoc and destruction
And farewell to souls caught by your eye.

Rain, rain, rain, you are God-given
Life-giving water to mankind
Empowering our river dams
To turn huge wheels of progress
Moving our titan plants of goods
For humanity to consume.

Be it God's hand to shower our land
Without leaving turmoils and ruins
To men's precious assets and lives
May perilous typhoons be not formed
May you pass just softly
As you come to our land of the Orient Pearl.
